2019 Application Due November 14th : During the RSM Classic Pro-AM, a select group of participants of The First Tee of the Golden Isles’ Birdie and Par classes has the opportunity to walk with the pros on Seaside Course’s hole #17. It is a perfect setting for the kids to showcase their character and life skills learned while being a part of the team as they help PGA Tour Professionals pick a club, carry the bag, clean the club, read the putt, and most importantly celebrate the birdies! Those selected receive their very own caddie bib complete with an autograph from the PGA Tour Pro they caddied for. This opportunity is limited to a small number of participants and each participant must be currently active in The First Tee Golf & Life Skills Programs.
Arrive by: 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2019
Depart by: 5:30 PM (estimated)
Parking: McKinnon Airport and take the shuttle to the course
Parents/Chaperone: If you are attending with your child or are responsible for a child, once he/she has completed the event you are free to enjoy the rest of the RSM Classic, visit the Kid Zone, or take the shuttle back to your car. If you cannot attend your child will be under our supervision and will depart following the tournament play.
To qualify the applicant child must:
- Demonstrate the character education learned at the First Tee of the Golden Isles
- Be in the Par level or above*
- Be active with The First Tee of the Golden Isles in 2019.
- Complete a one-page essay on “What Integrity Means to Me”.
Essays must be handwritten by the participant and emailed to me no later than Thursday, November 14. If your child qualifies, please complete the link below to be considered for this program. Participants will be selected and announced on Friday, November 15th.
Completing the application does not guarantee your selection but does let us know of your interest.
*Some of you may have children who are in the middle of transitioning from the PLAYer level to the Par level. You must complete all certification requirements before being eligible to participate in this program.
