In Youth Centers: The First Tee Community Program
We believe our values extend beyond the golf course, which is why we launched a program to meet youth where they spend time.
Specifically designed for youth-serving organizations, like the Y and the Boys & Girls Club, The First Tee Community Program gives kids the chance to learn about golf and develop character through fun golf games.

How The First Tee Community Program Works
We supply the curriculum, the equipment and the training for youth leaders to deliver the program. Much like our other programs, the First Tee Community Program is designed to introduce kids to golf
and First Tee’s Nine Core Values — respect, courtesy, responsibility, honesty, sportsmanship, confidence, judgment, perseverance, and integrity.
Our Curriculum
We wrote our lesson plans and activity guides with youth development professionals and volunteer leaders in mind. The First Tee Community Program is a hole-in-one for any setting, class time, and class size.
Our lesson plans introduce youth to golf through activities that resemble sports they may already be familiar with, like baseball, football, bowling, and tennis. Instructors receive an activity guide that includes:
- 18 detailed activity plans
- Information section explaining teaching methods
- Safety and class management procedures
- Instructional cue cards
- Golf terms
QUOTES FROM PARTNERED ORGANIZATIONS
"Thank you for allowing our children at CIA to participate in your program First Tee! Your program far exceeded our expectations! It was fun and kept the children's interest. You went beyond just teaching them the game of golf. The children were taught the same character virtues we teach at CIA. They were taught to understand how to apply those virtues in all areas of life. It's nice to have someone come along side CIA and reiterate what we do. In addition to all of this, the fact you are very safety conscious and have safety zones for the children while they are waiting their turn is phenomenal! We had a great time and would be privileged to join again in the future."
